Map 2.2.1

State-level cigarette smoking prevalence among non-Hispanic Black adults relative to non-Hispanic White adults, 2020-2022

Loading

This map shows the likelihood of non-Hispanic Black adults to smoke cigarettes compared to non-Hispanic White adults.

Footnote

The maps plot the ratio of adult cigarette smoking prevalence among different racial/ethnic groups to that among non-Hispanic White across US states and Washington D.C. The states with grey shades have statistically unstable estimates and hence are not shown in the color scale of the corresponding map. A higher prevalence number over 1 and darker color on each map means that there is a greater prevalence of adult cigarette use by the that racial/ethnic subgroup compared to non-Hispanic White adults in that state.
