Work environments can contribute to tobacco use among adults.

Individuals who had less job stability and longer work hours had higher odds of tobacco use compared to individuals with a stable schedule and less than full time work, defined as 35-hour work weeks. Additionally, individuals who had paid sick leave and health insurance through their jobs had lower odds of tobacco use compared to individuals who did not have similar health benefits from their jobs.

Odds greater than one indicate higher probability and odds less than one indicate lower probability of tobacco use compared to the reference group.
