These charts show the distribution of respondents in 13 high-tobacco-burden states.

 

Race and Ethnicity

Non-Hispanic White individuals made up over 70% of the sample, while all other groups were under 17%.

 

Education

The highest level of education earned from respondents is a high school degree to some college. Educational attainment among respondents shows that nearly half had a high school diploma or some college education without a degree. Only 7.8% of respondents had less than a high school education.

 

Household Income

Total annual household income reported by respondents shows that almost half of respondents report earning less than $75,000. However, the largest single income group was those earning $100,000 or more, at 38.2%.

 

Age

Respondents were fairly evenly distributed across age groups, with the largest proportion aged 55–65. The 25–34 and 35–44 age groups each made up over 20% of the sample.
