Footnote
Purchasing power parity international dollars (PPP$) is a measure of currency used to make cross-country comparisons of monetary values by equalizing the purchasing power of different currencies to buy a basket of goods and services in different countries. It allows one to compare the real value of money across the world. International organizations, such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, and the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development routinely update and use PPP$ conversion rates to express local currency units in PPP$ while presenting international data.
